City Blossoms’ five programs create a pathway through which children can engage with nature from early childhood to young adulthood. Our programs incorporate free and affordable in-school and out-of-school activities, community engagement opportunities, resources, and educator trainings.

Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative

We partner with high schools to manage a year-round, garden-based Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative program. At the core of the program is a youth-led business called Mighty Greens. Using the cooperative business model, participants combine elements of environmental and food justice with job readiness skills. Participants maintain garden spaces, make value-added products, and sell those products and produce back to their communities through seasonal CSAs and farmers markets.

What is Mighty Greens?

Mighty Greens is a youth-led, garden-based, entrepreneurship project developed through City Blossoms’ Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative Program. Cooperative members, also known as Youth Staff, use high school gardens and greenhouses as spaces to learn how to care for edible and native plants while growing the business with support from our team.
